Fire Extinguisher Technician

Location: Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril Jamaica

We are a reputable & solid company that services all Parishes in Jamaica, and are looking for skilled hard working, enthusiastic individuals to become part of our team, with experience in installation and/or service and preventive maintenance of commercial and residential fire and safety equipment.

OVERVIEW

This position includes field service, inspection, and maintenance of portable fire equipment in residential & commercial facilities throughout a specific service territory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Receive dispatch instructions and conduct time sensitive service calls including; inspection, installation and maintenance of fire equipment in allotted time frame
• Identify code issues and non-conformance issues of fire equipment
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation identifying time worked, deficiencies, repairs needed or completed, and services performed                                                                             
• Keep company owned vehicle and tools clean and organized
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures

Job Skills:

• Ability to work overtime and be placed on after hour’s on-call rotation schedule
• Valid General driver's license with a good driving record

While we are looking for EXPERIENCED & LICENSED technicians, we will consider training the right person. We need team players who are customer service oriented, friendly, and will represent AcVark Fire in a professional and positive manner.

            Certification, training, experience:

• Minimum High School Diploma or CXC with 2 years working experience 
• OR
• High school diploma or CXC, plus a trade school or certification with no experience
