In addition to our traditional fire extinguishers, we manufacture an automatic extinguisher line for spot type protection. Designed to supply supplementary fire protection for some local and total flood applications, Mini-Guard is designed, tested and constructed to the same high standards as our portable extinguishers.

Mini-Guard units are available in horizontal and vertical mounts and can be charged with Multipurpose Dry Chemical or Halotron.

Mini-Guard units are suitable for  Class A Fires (fires involving ordinary combustible materials–such as wood, cloth, paper, rubber, and many plastics); Class B Fires (fires involving flammable liquids, combustible liquids, petroleum greases, tars, oils, oil-based paints, solvents, lacquers, alcohols, and flammable gases); and Class C Fires (fires that involve energized electrical equipment).

Designed for single unit installations, the Buckeye Fire Equipment Mini-Guard automatic spot protection extinguishers provide supplementary fire protection suitable for some local and total flood applications. These units are not intended as a substitute for automatic sprinkler systems, fixed pre-engineered or engineered extinguishing systems and are not intended to be multiple mounted. The Mini-Guard automatic spot protection extinguishers are designed, constructed, and tested to the same engineering standards as our portable fire extinguishers. Available in horizontal or vertical configurations, the units can be charged with multipurpose (ABC) dry chemical or Halotron agents and are fitted with a detection sprinkler head that is rated at 165° F.

Typical Uses: Spot type extinguishers act as dedicated protection of specialized equipment used in business or manufacturing processes or for specific fire risk areas such as flammable liquid storage rooms (dry chemical) and small electronic data storage rooms (Halotron).
